The researcher, Dr. Charles Shaffer PhD, recorded eight different sound sequences made by lobster off the coast of Islamorada in the Florida Keys over 16 months in 2002-3. ABT has since installed one of the sequences of sounds, the “attractant” sound sequence, into a device that is designed to work inside commercial lobster traps. The video was shot at night, under red lights, and also during the daytime. Regardless of time of day or night lobster respond with positive taxis toward the green Lobster Caller™ device shown in this video. This video was taken in Marathon Florida during October 2006. The voice you hear iin the video is that of Dr. Charles Shaffer.
